# Is there an API for Find a Tender and Contracts Finder? > Is there an API for UK public procurement data from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder? Yes: [Find a Tender](https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/apidocumentation/1.0/GET-ocdsReleasePackages) serves its notices as Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS) release packages, up to 100 per request with a cursor, and [Contracts Finder](https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/apidocumentation) has its own OCDS search; both are free to read, but they are two services with separate APIs, filtered by publication date and stage rather than by supplier or value. The Olympus UK Public Procurement API serves notices and contract awards from both in one schema: `GET /v1/uk-procurement/awards` searches awards by buyer, supplier name or Companies House number, CPV code, value and date. ## The official route, and what it lacks - **Find a Tender.** The central digital platform for notices under the Procurement Act 2023, which took effect on 24 February 2025. Its OCDS API "retrieves Find a Tender notice data as an Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS) release package", filtered by update date and stage (planning, tender, award), at most 100 releases a request, paged with a `cursor`. On a 429 or 503 it asks clients to wait for the `Retry-After` header. "Notice data is available under the Open Government Licence." - **Contracts Finder.** Its API offers an OCDS notice search by publication date and stage. Since 24 February 2025 new procurements, above and below threshold, are advertised on Find a Tender; Contracts Finder is kept for award notices of procurements started under the earlier regulations and awards under their framework agreements (PPN 019). What that leaves to you: two APIs to harvest, OCDS releases to merge into notices and awards, and your own index to answer questions like "every award to this company" or "IT contracts over £100,000 this year".
