Company financials, traced to the filing.
SEC registrants, their 10-K and 10-Q filings, and eight standardised XBRL metrics as filed. Each value includes the XBRL concept, the accession number and a link to the EDGAR index it came from.

}Lookup, filings, metrics, comparison.
Look up a ticker with GET /v1/sec/companies/search?ticker=AAPL. The lookup is exact, and it returns a list because a ticker can briefly be shared during a reorganisation. Company paths accept a CIK with or without leading zeros. Responses always use the 10-digit form.
| Endpoint | What it returns |
|---|---|
| GET/v1/sec/companies/search | Search companies by name or ticker, or resolve a ticker |
| GET/v1/sec/companies/{cik} | Company profile |
| GET/v1/sec/companies/{cik}/filings | 10-K and 10-Q filings of a company |
| GET/v1/sec/companies/{cik}/financials | Financial metric history of a company |
| GET/v1/sec/financials/compare | Compare one metric across companies |
Eight metrics, mapped once.
Annual values come from 10-K and 10-K/A filings (FY), quarterly values from 10-Q and 10-Q/A (Q1 to Q3; there's no separate Q4 filing). Quarterly operating cash flow is usually reported year-to-date and is marked is_ytd. When a later filing restates a value, you get the latest figure, is_restated: true and the first reported value alongside it.
| Metric | Unit |
|---|---|
| revenue | USD |
| net_income | USD |
| total_assets | USD |
| total_liabilities | USD |
| stockholders_equity | USD |
| operating_cash_flow | USD |
| eps_diluted | USD/shares |
| shares_outstanding | shares |
Limits
As filed, nightly
Data comes from the SEC's nightly EDGAR bulk archives (submissions and XBRL companyfacts) and is refreshed from the JSON APIs for selected companies. Values are as filed by registrants. We don't estimate, derive or adjust anything.
Fiscal, not calendar
Periods follow each company's own fiscal year. Apple's fiscal 2024 ends on 2024-09-28. Comparisons line up fiscal periods, not calendar dates. Check period_end when fiscal year ends differ.
Not included
Real-time streaming, full-text search of filings, insider trading, ownership and analyst recommendations are not part of this API.
