Data release notes.

New datasets, coverage and changes to how values are produced, newest first. For what is published right now, read the coverage endpoints or meta.datasets on any response; coverage and methodology describe each source.

  1. · UK Council Spending API

    UK council spending: first publication, 12 councils

    • Payments over £500 published by 12 English councils under the Local Government Transparency Code 2015, from files dated October 2025 onwards.
    • GET /v1/uk-council-spending/coverage lists each council's files, the months with payments and the months missing. Councils whose files did not load are listed as not_loaded.

  2. · US Sales Tax Rates API

    Sales tax rates: 17 Streamlined Sales Tax states

    • Tennessee and Wisconsin added, for 17 published states: IN, KY, MI, MN, ND, NE, NJ, NV, OK, RI, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY.

  3. · US Sales Tax Rates API

    Sales tax rates: 15 Streamlined Sales Tax states

    • Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Utah and West Virginia added to the five pilot states.
    • Every response now carries the source_not_certified notice: the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board does not certify Olympus or its use of the data.
    • Minnesota, Utah and West Virginia publish ZIP-level boundaries only; Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey and Rhode Island are single-rate states. Affected responses carry a notice.

  4. · US SEC Filings & Financial Data API

    SEC financial metrics published

    • Eight standardised XBRL metrics (revenue, net income, total assets, total liabilities, stockholders' equity, operating cash flow, diluted EPS, shares outstanding) from 10-K and 10-Q filings, with restatement flags and EDGAR evidence links.
    • XBRL facts with a period end in the future (mistyped in the source) are rejected and counted instead of blocking the whole load.

  5. · US SEC Filings & Financial Data API

    SEC companies and filings published

    • 45,709 SEC registrants from EDGAR submissions, with tickers, SIC codes and the EIN and LEI where EDGAR publishes a valid one.
    • 1,052,752 10-K, 10-K/A, 10-Q and 10-Q/A filing records (metadata only, no document text). Refreshed nightly.

  6. · US Sales Tax Rates API

    Sales tax rates: first publication, 5 states

    • Streamlined Sales Tax rate and boundary files for Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming: 1,217,747 rate and boundary records.
    • Lookups by street address, ZIP+4 or 5-digit ZIP, with the state, county, city and special district breakdown and effective dates.

  7. · US Geographic & Demographics API

    Geographic & Demographics API live

    • American Community Survey 5-year estimates for every ZCTA and county in the 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico, with margins of error and vintage on every metric.
    • 2020 ZCTA-to-county relationships and NCES Common Core of Data public schools near a ZCTA.
